Betty F. Wright, age 86, of Minerva, died, Tuesday, January 29, 2013 in Great Trail Care Center in Minerva. She was born Apr. 6, 1926 in Pattersonville to William and Eva (Whittiam) Thompson. She worked for Nichol's Bakery in Navarre for 11 years, and was a past Matron of the Carroll Chapter Order of Eastern Star #315. She was also a member of the Minerva United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Advent Sunday School Class.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Wright who died in 1989; 4 sisters, Edith Ecrement, Myrna Dennis, Mary Paullos and Corrine Walter; 5 brothers, A.G., Howard, Wilbur, Ray and Robert Thompson.

She is survived by a son, Bill (Diane) Wright of Des Moines, Iowa; 4 grandchildren, Paula, Megan, Zack & Jody; 3 great grandchildren, Stacey, Trinity & Joanna; good friend, Joyce Cullum of Canton; 3 special nieces, Pat (Gene) Fry of Minerva, Debbie (Greg) Wells of Malvern, Sue Wandle of Minerva, and a special great niece, Jeanette (Gary) Leyda of Minerva.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Minerva United Methodist Church in Minerva with Rev. Harley Wheeler officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Calling hours will be one hour prior to services at the church with Eastern Star Services prior to the funeral at 11:00 am.
