Betty Jean White

Age 91, of Minerva, died Friday, April 6, 2018 in her home. She was born Nov. 12, 1926 in East Palestine to William and Emma (Tyson) Bush. She was an amazing Mom and Grandma and co-owner of Cross Wholesale for over 30 years. She is a member of the Minerva First Christian Church where she was a member of the Home Dept., a former Deaconess, and helped with meals for the after school experience. She is a graduate of Minerva High School, helped with the Minerva Community Meals for many years and was the Minerva Rep. for Friendly Town for many years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Delmer White who died in 1994, daughter, Darla White, son-in-law, Rick Cyders, sister-in-law, Helen Bush, sister, Marcella Clark, and brother, Don Bush.  She is survived by children; Jean (Rod) Cyders-Stickler of Malvern, Carol White of Minerva, Connie (Paul) Harper of Minerva, Ralph (Golda) Vankirk of Minerva, Andy Dragon of Homeworth, brother, William (Betty) Bush of Canton, 8 grandchildren; Susan, Brian, Amy, Mollee, Erick, Lindsey, Brooke and Adam, 24 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Monday at 12:30 in the Chapel at East Lawn Cemetery in Minerva with her grandson, Mr. Kenny Thomas officiating. A celebration of life dinner will be held Monday at 5:00 pm in the Minerva First Christian Church. Memorial contributions may be made for homeless shelter needs C/O the Malvern First Christian Church.
