Betty J. Thomas
Age 85 of Wooster, died Thursday Aug. 23, 2012 in the Alliance Community Hospital. She was born Aug. 19, 1927 in Athens, PA to Carroll and Nina Salsman. She was a housewife and worked in delivery for the the Wooster Daily Record.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Thomas who died in 2005 and a son, George Belles. She is survived by 2 daughters; Paula (Keith) Purvis of Kensington and Tammy (Tim Patrick) Pearn of Wooster, 3 sons; Tommy (Diane) Pearn of OH, Jimmy ("Freddie") Pearn of Chardon and Randy (Sue) Pearn of Wadsworth, 16 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating. Burial will take place in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery Tuesday at 2:30 pm. Calling hours will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
