Betty Irene Haynam

Age 89, of Minerva, passed away Friday, Dec. 29, 2017 in her home surrounded by her family following a brief illness. She was born Jan. 13, 1928 in Parmel, OH to John Ross and Bertha (Buxton) Beckley. She was a housewife and bookkeeper. She was a 66 year member of the Bayard United Methodist Church and past master and 68 year member of the Bayard Grange #1878. She graduated from Minerva High School in 1946.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Haynam, who died Dec. 16, 2015, three sisters, Grace Anderson, Florence Easterday, Doris Schnovel, two brothers, Willard and Lee Beckley. She is survived by 4 daughters, Lucinda Bos of North Canton, Lucille (Mark) Vaughn of Canton, Roxanne (Robert) Sterling of Leetonia, Roxie Haynam (Mike Schmuck) of Minerva, son, Harry (Connie) Haynam of Minerva, sister, Mary Loudon of Canton, brother, John (Linda) Beckley of Minerva, seven grandchildren, Brad, Amy, Emily, Lisa, April, Taylor, Preston and 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 am in the Bayard United Methodist Church with Rev. Scott Williams officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery.  Calling hours will be Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or Alliance Hospice.
