Betty (Waugh) Hassler

Age 90, of Kensington, died November 5, 2019 in Arbors at Minerva. She was born March 23, 1929 in Ironton, Ohio to Floyd and Sarah (Waugh) Hillyer. She was a homemaker, clerk for the Amvets and the owner of the A&W Root Beer stand in Alliance. She was a member of the Mount Zion Methodist Church, East Rochester Garden Club and Teamsters Million Mile Club.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Charles George Hassler, who died in 2018; a son, Wade George Hassler; 2 brothers, Harley Hillyer and Wilbert Waugh.

She is survived by a daughter, Linda Kreitzer of East Rochester; sister, Barbara Underwood of Kensington; daughter-in-law, Tamara Hassler; a grandson, Ethan (Samantha) Hassler; 2 great grandchildren, Audrey Faye Hassler and Charlotte Leigh Hassler.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 9 ^th , at 12:00pm at the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home with Minister Joe Unruh from the Church of God in Christ Mennonite officiating. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Gardens. Calling hours will be held 2 hours prior to the service from 10-12 at the funeral home. In lieu of cut flower arrangements, please send plants for the family's memory garden.
