Bernadine L. (Ray) Overholt

Age 78, of East Rochester passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2025.  She was born Nov. 14, 1946 in Salem to Richard and Shirley (Boehm) Ray.  She was a woman who loved Jesus. She was the love of her husband's life and was a source of inspiration and love to her children and grandchildren.  She loved to collect and read books, work in the garden and watch the birds.  Her contagious laughter will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Fred Overholt whom she married Aug. 20, 1966, 4 children; Freddy Overholt of FL, Jeff (Kim) Overholt of Kent, Christopher Overholt of FL, Angela (Matthew) Stout of FL, brother, David (Karen) Ray of Paris, 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by an unknown child, a sister, Penelope Ray and 2 brothers, Mike and Steven Ray.

A Graveside service will be held Monday at 11:00 am in Moultrie Chapel Cemetery.  In honor of Bernadine,  there will be a meal at the East Rochester Methodist Church after the service.  Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com.
