Barbara J. Bratu

Age 89, of Minerva, died Wednesday, June 5, 2019 in St. Luke's Lutheran Community in Minerva. She was born Nov. 23, 1929 in Freeburg to Dewey and Alta (Hahn) Sutton. She was a housewife and member of the Minerva United Methodist Church. She loved music and was a former organist.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Bratu Jr. who died in 2017, brother, Glenwood Sutton. She is survived by a son, David (Nancy) Bratu of Minerva, 3 grandchildren, Brent (Gina) Bratu of Minerva, Jessica Pagas of Dover, Jeff Bratu of Pittsburgh, 2 great grandchildren, Jacob and Madison Pagas.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 12:00 noon in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Rev. Harley Wheeler and Rev. Mike Zellers officiating. Burial will be in Freeburg Cemetery. Calling hours will be 11-12 prior to services.
