Barbara K. Baker

Age 86, of Minerva, died Tuesday, April 4, 2017 in the Akron Select Specialty Hospital. She was born Sept. 3, 1930 in Canton to Herbert and Henrietta (Curtis) Alexander. She was a housewife and had formerly worked at Summitville Tile.  She graduated from Minerva High School in 1948 and is a member of Carroll Chapter #315, Order of the Eastern Star.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Baker who died in 2006. She is survived by a son, John R. Billiter, II of Minerva; daughter, Suzanne Martin of Medina; 2 sisters, Joyce Carman of Kensington and Lyda Alexander of East Canton; 2 brothers, Richard Alexander of Alliance and John (Pat) Alexander of Minerva; and a grandson, Jeremiah Claypool.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 3:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating. Calling hours will be 1-3 pm Sunday prior to services. Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register book at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com .
