Avona Benner

Age 83, of East Rochester, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2017 at Green Meadows in Louisville. She was born June 12, 1933 in Minerva to Archie and Mary Avona (Craft) Doak. She was a member of the Minerva United Methodist Church and Columbiana County Farm Bureau. She graduated from Minerva High School and owned Benner Farms with her late husband Dale.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dale Benner who died October 16, 2016, and a sister, Marlene Wade. She is survived by a Daughter, Sabra Jo Lucas of Minerva, son, Duane (Cindi) Benner of East Rochester, Stepdaughter, Connie Joe (Joe) Rohrer of Mechanicstown, 2 grandchildren, Stacey (Steve) Smith of Hanoverton, Craig (Danielle) Benner, and two great grandchildren, Bella and Owen.

Funeral Services will be Saturday at 11 am in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home with Rev. Harley Wheeler officiating. Burial will be in the East Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday 6-8 pm and 1 hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home.
