Age 78, of Minerva, died Monday, December 19, 2016 in Community Care in Alliance. He was born Sept. 8, 1938 in Strongstown, PA to A. Smith and Eithel May (Stephens) Bennett. He retired from Canton Drop Forge where he had worked for 46 years. He is a member of the New Franklin United Methodist Church and a US Navy Veteran. He enjoyed tinkering around the house and making things, gardening, fixing old cars and taking care of his chickens and dogs.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Kopczenski) Bennett whom he married Dec. 26, 1964; 2 daughters, Deborah (Frank) Burkey of Deerfield, Kimberly (Casey) Fellure of Homeworth; and 3 grandchildren, Johnathan, Amber and Caitlin Burkey. He is preceded in death by a son, Arthur A. Bennett Jr.
