Arlin E. Weikart
Age 81, of Minerva, died Monday, June 1, 2015 in Mercy Medical Center. He was born July 6, 1933 in Columbiana, OH to LeRoy and Thelma (Yeagley) Weikart. He retired from Regal Metals where he was a tool and die maker for over 30 years, is a US Army veteran of the Korean War and a graduate of North Lima High School.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary (McGinnis) Weikart, whom he married June 9, 1956; a sister, Diane (Sam) Waseman of Minerva; 2 brothers, LeRoy (Billie) Weikart of Minerva, Donald (Beverly) Weikart of Montana; 11 nieces and nephews; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by one great nephew.
Calling hours will be Monday from 11am to 12 noon in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday in Locust Grove Baptist Church in Salem with burial in the church cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
