Antoinette (Nettie) Forester
Age 90, of Minerva, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, April 8 ^th after a 10-month battle with Leukemia.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Raymond Forester, Jr. who died in 1994.  Also preceding her were siblings, Mary Beadnell, Joseph Mash, and Louis Masci.  She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Leath and her husband Monte of Bluffton, South Carolina, and Toni Forester Rowe and fiancé' Al Reese of Canton, Ohio.  She is also survived by one grandson, Connor Lannes of Columbus, Ohio and siblings Victoria Aiello of California, Leonard Masci of Wintersville, Ohio, Eleanor Maksim of Bolivar, Ohio, and Joann Maksim of Canton, Ohio in addition to countless nieces and nephews.

Nettie was a wonderful and devoted wife, mother, friend, and homemaker.  She was very active in the Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary Aerie #2199 and served as president for many years.  She volunteered at a church packing groceries every week, and enjoyed going to the Minerva YMCA to exercise with her friends until she became ill.   She was a fabulous cook, enjoyed working in her yard, and had a profound love of her many pets over the years and derived much pleasure watching the hummingbirds she fed every spring and summer.  A baby could not be in her prescense without her stopping to admire it, touch its cheek or hold its hand.

Anyone who knew her loved and respected her.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Calling hours will Thursday from 1 – 3p.m at the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva. Graveside services will follow at 3:30p.m. in North Lawn Cemetery in Canton with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating.
