Anna M. Sumner
Age 91, of East Rochester, passed away peacefully Friday, Feb. 12, 2016 at her home. She was born March 2, 1924 in Amsterdam to Edward and Mary (Kolasinska) Jurkiewicz. She was a housewife and member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Minerva. She enjoyed gardening, baking, crocheting, working outside in her yard and spending time with family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry "Eddy" Sumner who died in 2013, daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Raymond Oyer and son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Melanie Sumner and 3 brothers, Edward, Stanley and Ray Jurkiewicz. She is survived by a son, Howard (Jill) Sumner of Canton and daughter, Genevieve Drake of WA, 2 sisters, Theresa Puskarich and JoAnn Jurkiewicz, brother, John Jurkiewicz, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday at 12 noon in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Fr. Victor Cinson officiating. Calling hours will be one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Quaker Ridge Cemetery.
