Alberta J. Doney, age 70, of Minerva, died Friday, May 2, 2014 in her home.  She was born Nov. 14, 1943 in Canton to Lee and Mary (Vadasz) Adams.  She was a housewife and mother.  She had worked at Ponderosa in Alliance and Buckeye Village in Louisville.  She was a member of the Winona Friends Church where she worked in the Food Pantry, the kitchen and was a member of the Daughter's of the King.

She is survived by her husband, James Doney Sr., whom she married Dec. 24, 1959; 3 daughters, Pam (Tom) Carnahan of Hanoverton, Lori (Dan) Wilson of Canton and Joann (Joe) Rinaldi of Homeworth; son, James Doney Jr., of Minerva; 5 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by a sister, Flossie Garn.

Funeral services will be Monday at 6:00 p.m. in the Winona Friends Church with Pastor Rusty Savage officiating.  Calling hours will be prior to services, Monday from 3-6 p.m.  Those wishing to send condolences may sign the online register at www.gotschallfuneralhome.com .
