Aaron J. Metzger, age 23, of Minerva, passed away Wed., Nov. 13, 2013 in Aultman Hospital. He was born March 10, 1990 in Canton, OH. He was a 2008 graduate of Minerva High School and R.G. Drage Career Center where he was in the metal fabrication class. He was top welder in his senior class and received an award of distinction. He was a welder at Minerva Welding his junior and senior year and after graduation was hired at SPSI in Hartville where he has worked for the past 5 years. He received his journeyman's certificate from the State of Ohio and SPSI for welder/pipefitter on May 1, 2013 of which his family is very proud. He loved to joke and make everyone laugh. He will be greatly missed and always loved.

He is survived by his parents, Lawrence "Butch" and Sheryl (Baughman) Metzger of Minerva; sister, Ashley Metzger of Minerva; several aunts and uncles, Wanda Snay of Minerva, Dottie (Tim) Toussant of Minerva, Bob (Anita) Baughman of Canton, Debbie (Jerry) Norris of Minerva, Rick Metzger of Minerva; and many cousins.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00 pm in the Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home in Minerva with Chaplain Larry Karlen officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
