U.S. Veteran

Kenneth A. Shine, age 77, of Waynesburg, passed away, Tuesday, March 27, 2012 in Minerva Eldercare. He was born April 13, 1934 in Waynesburg to Ora and Martha (Streit) Shine. He was a US Army Veteran and retired from Whitacre Greer where he had worked for 34 years. He loved flower gardening and raising German Shepherds. He was loved and will be missed.

He is survived by sisters, Helen Dycus of Waynesburg and Pauline (Pete) Ord of Magnolia; brothers, LeRoy (Ovaline) Shine of Malvern and Paul (Barbara) Shine of Waynesburg; many nieces and nephews, greats, and great greats. A great-great niece, Katie and great-great nephews, Corbin and Cody who liked to watch wrestling with their uncle Kenny, make him cards and take him snacks and flowers. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers, Harry, Waldo “Babe”, Donald, Lloyd and Robert Shine.

A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11:00 am in the Chapel at East Lawn Cemetery in Minerva. The family would like to thank all of the medical people who assisted in his care including, Minerva Eldercare, and Doctors, Barr, Stasiak, Sabota, Hill and Jones and the staffs of Aultman Hospital on 4 north, 6 north, 4 east, 6 east and the emergency room.
